phantasmagoric variegated
spasms of prismatic light
and crystal coruscating
cut the smoke stacks
leave their burning stuff
in festering dark orange
lintels between two towers
of soot spires and dusty muck
thump the brick substrate
the shaky flimsy wasted filament
airjolts cease while
cross-cinders snuffed
sniffed by black coated dogs
travel windward
smouldering, melting
necklace the bottom the spine
the base the steeple
rockfall slips steeply
from the spire to the underside
